Treatment overview

Like their name suggests, a fixed dental bridge bridges the gap that is created by one or more missing teeth. The bridge does not come out and consists of a crown on either side of the gap caused by a missing tooth or missing teeth. These crowns serve to anchor a false tooth or teeth that sit in between, which is often made from gold, alloys, porcelain or a combination of these materials.

Our method

When undergoing treatment, Dr. Sam Sherif will first examine your gums so that the necessary tooth replacement can be prepared. He will then have the abutment teeth prepared that will support the bridge. Next, impressions of the teeth are made, which will serve as the model for creating your customised bridge in a state-of-the-art dental lab. A fixed temporary bridge will be fitted for the few days you await you final bridge to be customised.

Key Benefit

As well as improving appearance, filling a gap prevents teeth moving which can result in jaw problems and migraines, as well as hindering chewing and speaking. In short, undergoing treatment for dental bridges can improve your overall quality of life.
