Treatment overview
Composite veneers are thin sheets of resin which are matched to the shade of your teeth, leaving your smile looking natural and symmetrical.
Composite veneers require minimal preparation, and in the majority of cases, drilling and anaesthesia are not needed. This makes treatment an excellent choice if you’re seeking a low-hassle, minimally invasive and quick solution for imperfections with your teeth.
Our methods
There are two types of composite veneers:
Direct composite veneers
These types of composite veneers involve applying tooth-coloured resin directly to the surface of your teeth. I will carefully sculpt the resin by hand to enhance the shape, close small gaps, or mask discolouration, resulting in a natural-looking smile. Before the resin is placed, I will gently etch the surface of your teeth to help the material bond effectively. This approach is minimally invasive, often requires no drilling, and can usually be completed in a single appointment.
Indirect composite veneers
The process for indirect composite veneers begins similarly to that of direct composite veneers. Light preparation of the teeth is first needed. However, instead of applying the resin directly in the chair, your veneers are created outside the mouth by our talented dental technician for a precise fit and polished finish.
Once ready, they are bonded to your teeth using a strong adhesive. Indirect veneers are typically more durable and longer-lasting than their direct counterparts, making them a great choice for patients looking for added strength and aesthetics.
