Dental implants, the most permanent method to replace missing teeth, has always been seen as a time-consuming procedure which could involve hours of work and a lengthy healing process. This model is also used by the surgeon to locate nerves and blood vessels, therefore allowing him to determine where to place the implant to minimise swelling, pain and bruising. The permanent crowns are also fabricated at around this time using the most up to date technology to ensure the crowns are a perfect fit for the patient. Using this method, the surgery can be completed within two to four weeks of the initial scan, depending on the number of crowns needed.
