Teeth in an hour

Veritas Dental Care Bridges

Dental implants, the most permanent method to replace missing teeth, has always been seen as a time-consuming procedure which could involve hours of work and a lengthy healing process. It could take many dental appointments before the implants were fully complete and the patient and the dentist were both satisfied. The implants were often fitted under local anaesthesia but swelling and bruising were common side effects as the implants settled.

Dentistry has evolved significantly in the past two decades, and there are now innovative methods in use which can significantly reduce the cost and time taken to replace missing teeth. One of these methods is Teeth-In-An-Hour, a new technique used at Veritas Dental Care to treat patients who are missing teeth and who don’t wish to wait months before they can be replaced. At the clinic, situated in Harley Street in the centre of London, Dr Sam Sherif, a highly qualified cosmetic dentist, will perform the procedure and restore your smile using the latest technology.

The new technique used by Dr Sherif is far less invasive and significantly reduces the time between fitting the implant and fitting the permanent teeth. This is achieved by taking an accurate CT scan using state of the art software to create an accurate 3D model of the jaw. This model is used to establish exactly where to place the implants without having to take lots of X-Rays. This model is also used by the surgeon to locate nerves and blood vessels, therefore allowing him to determine where to place the implant to minimise swelling, pain and bruising. The permanent crowns are also fabricated at around this time using the most up to date technology to ensure the crowns are a perfect fit for the patient. Using this method, the surgery can be completed within two to four weeks of the initial scan, depending on the number of crowns needed.

With the Teeth-In-An-Hour method of dental implants, there is no delay between placing the screws and fitting the crowns, and this can be achieved in one hour in very many cases. The patient can then leave immediately as only local anaesthetics are used so recovery time is reduced.
